Our company had a very modest beginning. I was a very young 20 yrs old when I was first introduced to the fire equipment business. I worked out of my home for the first 7 years or so, it was quite a challenge. We started as a one man and one truck operation. A picture of my first service truck is located above on the left. ( 1973 Dodge Van ) After working hard for the first 3 years to get our name well known. It was time to look for my first employee. At that time I hired Dave Horner, who was working at the local Ford Dealership in Platteville, WI as a auto body tech. After 30 years I am pleased to say Dave is still with me.

As the years rolled on I purchased an old Furniture building in 1985 located at 5675 Southwest Rd. Platteville, WI. We sure felt privileged to work out of such a nice building. What started back in 1975 has grown into a business with 10 service vehicles and 13 employees including myself. Over 110 years of experience combined.

Summer of 1995

Along the way I was blessed with 2 children. First came Jessica my daughter who is now married and has given us our first grand children. A few years later we had my son Jason. Jason has been involved with Fire & Safety almost as soon as he could walk. We now have a next generation company that Jason wishes to keep in the family. He will continue the same fine quality of service that has been the benchmark of our success.
